Plagiarism Statement
Plagiarism is the act of using another author's work—including ideas, processes, results, or words—without permission, credit, or acknowledgment. The International Journal of Applied Science and Technology Application (IJAPSET) strictly prohibits any unethical acts of copying or plagiarism in any form. Authors must ensure that their work is entirely original. Plagiarism is considered a serious offense and may result in the blacklisting of authors who knowingly cite or use material from other published works without proper acknowledgment.
Authors are recommended to use plagiarism-detection programs to check for similarity with prior publications before submission or during review. Every manuscript submitted to Internthe ational Journal of Applied Science and Technology Application (IJAPSET) will be screened using Turnitin.com prior to publication.
Plagiarism Categories
- Full Plagiarism: Previously published content copied without any changes in text, ideas, or grammar.
- Partial Plagiarism: Content derived from multiple sources with extensive rephrasing is considered partial plagiarism.
- Self-Plagiarism: Reusing complete or portions of previously published research. Complete self-plagiarism occurs when an author republishes their prior work in a new journal.
Plagiarism Handling
If plagiarism is detected at any stage—before or after acceptance, during editing, or at the page proof stage—the editorial board will alert the author(s) and request revision or proper citation. Articles with more than 15% plagiarized content may be rejected, and the decision will be communicated to the author.
If plagiarism is discovered post-publication, the International Journal of Applied Science and Technology Application (IJAPSET) will conduct an investigation. The author's institution and funding agencies may be notified. Plagiarized content will be marked in the published PDF, and, depending on the severity, the paper may be formally retracted.
