Peer Review Process

International Journal of Applied Science and Technology Application (IJAPSET)

Overview

The International Journal of Applied Science and Technology Application (IJAPSET) applies an editorial assessment and peer-review process to evaluate the relevance, originality, academic quality, methodological rigor, and clarity of submitted manuscripts. The process is intended to support fair editorial decisions and maintain the quality of published scholarly work.

Review Standards

Principles of Peer Review

01

Academic Quality

Manuscripts are assessed for originality, relevance, methodological soundness, clarity, and contribution to the field.

02

Fair Assessment

Editorial decisions should be based on scholarly merit and journal scope, without discrimination or irrelevant personal considerations.

03

Confidentiality

Manuscripts and review materials should be treated as confidential and used only for legitimate editorial and review purposes.

04

Research Integrity

Potential ethical concerns, conflicts of interest, plagiarism, or other integrity issues should be referred to the editorial team.

Editorial Workflow

Stages of the Review Process

01

Submission and Initial Screening

The editorial office checks the submission for completeness, conformity with the author guidelines, relevance to the journal's scope, and apparent compliance with publication ethics requirements. Manuscripts that do not meet the basic requirements may be returned to the authors or declined at this stage.

02

Reviewer Selection

Suitable reviewers are selected according to their subject expertise and the manuscript's topic. Reviewers should disclose potential conflicts of interest and decline assignments when they cannot provide an impartial assessment.

03

Peer Review and Evaluation

Reviewers evaluate the manuscript's originality, relevance, research design, methodology, evidence, interpretation, references, presentation, and contribution to the field. They provide constructive comments and a recommendation to the editor.

04

Editorial Decision

The editor considers the reviewers' reports alongside the manuscript's quality, relevance, and compliance with journal policies. The decision may be acceptance, minor revision, major revision, or rejection. Reviewer recommendations inform but do not replace the editor's decision.

05

Revision and Reassessment

Authors receiving a revision decision should address the comments systematically and submit a revised manuscript with a response explaining how each point was handled. Revised manuscripts may be returned to reviewers when further assessment is necessary.

06

Final Decision and Publication

Manuscripts approved for publication proceed to the journal's production process, including copyediting, proofreading, metadata preparation, and publication according to journal procedures. Acceptance is not guaranteed by submission or revision.

Review Model and Confidentiality

IJAPSET should identify its review model clearly in its author guidelines. Review models may include single-anonymous, double-anonymous, or open peer review. The journal should state which model it actually applies and explain how reviewer and author identities are handled.

Until the journal's actual workflow is confirmed, this page does not designate a specific review model. Authors and reviewers should follow the confidentiality instructions provided by the editorial office.

Target Processing Time

The following are the journal's stated target processing times. They are estimates and may vary with reviewer availability, revision rounds, author response times, and editorial workload.

Editorial Stage Target Time
Time to First Decision Approximately 2 weeks
Peer Review Process Approximately 4 weeks
